Nothing better, especially if you are used to a cold Christmas. You can still have all the trimmings with a hot Christmas feast, which we love, really what is Christmas without the turkey and ham but a seafood starter – delicious. Rather than huddled inside – just imagine jumping into a pool to cool off – dressing in a sarong or at least shorts and t-shirts, if a little more formal is required how about linen. A long, slow Christmas lunch around the pool or rather formally in a magnificent dining room – doesn’t get much better than that.

Family and friends and leftovers – everyone brings a plate. For those who must watch the Boxing Day test live from Melbourne on TV so be it. However for a spectacle of the passing parade of maxi and not so big yachts pull up a chair on the balcony or on the front lawn of your harbour side holiday home and watch the start of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race.

A day for chilling out, taking stock, few laps of the pool, maybe a surf down at Bondi or Palm Beach and a late afternoon BBQ and watch the sun go down over harbour, almost unrecognisable from the frenetic pace of the night before.

This is the official National day of Australia, celebrating the landing of the First Fleet of British ships into Port Jackson in 1788. Today we celebrate where we came from and who we are. The harbour once again is on display in spectacular fashion – ENJOY.
It all happens in Sydney over summer – if you are not interested well there is plenty happening around town such as the Sydney Festival, Opera in the Park and so much more – details can be found on What’s on in Sydney – thank goodness for the not so humble computer.
Now talking of sport, there is always the alternative to those who don’t have enthusiasm for such things – perhaps a day relaxing by the pool in the privacy of your luxury holiday home, along with a massage and facial, or just purely indulge in whatever you want, you don’t have to go out we can organise for everything to come to you! Of course there is always a limousine at your disposal should you want to take in a show, see an art gallery or two or just shop.
